Our Story
A Catholic and a Jew walk into a Bar… Mitzvah
The first time I saw Jacob was in Temple Bet Ha'am in Portland, Maine for a classmate's Bar
Mitzvah ceremony. A friend and I silmutaneously nudged each other when we saw Jacob walk
into
the room and I remember
thinking, "oh WOW, he's cute!"
At the reception that night, in typical middle school fashion, that super cute guy asked me
if I’d like to dance with him. Stairway to Heaven provided us with ample time to get to know
one another and by the end of the night we had exchanged phone numbers. We awkwardly waved
goodbye to each other and then I climbed into the third-row of my friends mom’s suburban for
a ride back to my house.
And the rest is history!
